That's pretty much every year following another year of the same subject.

Example: Every year in English your teacher tells you to throw out what you learned the previous year, therefore making it impossible to remember what the fuck was going on years prior.

"Remember this formula you used for state-required essays? Throw it out and never use it again."

Three years later...

"Hey, remember that formula you used to use all those years ago? You need to start using it again. After this, though, never use it again."

Two years later...

"HEY BRO SO THERE'S THIS FORMULA YOU NEED TO USE IN YOUR WRITING FOR THESE ESSAYS..."

It's like a snake that fucking eats itself.
