I took the subway to get to the bar...so that's kind of similar.

In any case, I'm both saddened and impressed that this thread made it to page 2 before someone mentioned a bus.

If you apologize you make it part of the whole conversation like.

'Hey, sorry I had to leave but I had important work stuff I needed to do and I needed to get home'

or something like that

that should be the extent of your apology

Very casual apology, if any, like Zaryi mentioned.

WHY DONT YOU JUST WHIP IT OUT AND ALLOW HER TO WITNESS THE GOODS.

Well, I called her and left a voicemail.

The ball's in her court...we'll see if she returns it.

I just said I got her number from Frank (my sister's bf) and that i enjoyed meeting her and wanted to know if she wanted to grab something to eat or get a drink sometime. Then I left my number.

I don't think he needed to apologize in the voicemail. If it comes up just explain why you left like you explained it to us, Azelma. It's not a big deal, not like you ditched her on purpose or anything. Besides, now she knows you're interested in her, so good luck!

If you apologize, it's several bad things rolled up into one. Like I said, if she brings it up, say you're sorry you didn't catch her to say goodbye before you left, that way you're apologizing for the situation (which is out of your control) and not your behavior. If you apologize without bringing it up, it signals that you're insecure about how she perceives you and that you're more interested than you should be advertising. If you let her think "if I want this one, it's in the bag," you're losing ground. You have to be confident about yourself and your actions, no doubts...if anyone should have any doubts, let it be her.

Jubber
