Although...Black chicks that are educated/responsible etc...NOW we're talking.


There's this one chick that works at the ice cream place a few blocks away from me. She is like Wesley Snipes black - very pretty... when she speaks, she doesn't have a terrible hood rat accent, and she's actually (from what i can tell) a manager of some kind at this place...though she looks like she's only 20-21....so she's responsible. I remember standing in awe as she ordered everyone around (they were crazy busy) while I waited for my ice cream cone.

Shame African American women like her are such a rarity in this country.

Edit: Also, this discussion has made me think about a startling fact. Did you know that African American women have the highest rate of being single in the entire country (I believe it's a startling 70% of black female professionals...you know...the datable one's we've referred to...are single)? This is for many reasons I'm sure...chief among them:

1.) Black men skip out on the relationship after they knock them up
2.) Educated Black women have trouble finding black men (it's some cultural thing...ghetto brothers who can't read are terrified of a sista with a degree)
3.) Statistically, very few white men, asian men, latino men, have any interest in black women
4.) Often religious convictions (very strong in the African American community) and yes, prejudices, prevent Black women from going after successful men of other races.
