I've never played one and I don't ever think I've seen one in person... but I'm tired of my DS and I really wanna play some FFT before bed.

In your opinion should I go with the PSP or the PSP Go?
Are either 'hacked' with carts like an R4 or do I need to legitimately buy my games?
What games are worth looking at? I generally like platformers, puzzles and RPGs.
Any cool/bad stuff worth mentioning about the PSP?

The older the PSP the better.
You want 1000 series for maximum hacking capabilities.
2000 for most hacking as long as you have the memory card.
The rest I wouldn't recommend.

You can play GBA/SNES games on it with no problem and there are a lot of good RPGs released.

Google "psp iso", I can't remember the exact website name but it's a forum and it has all of the isos you need.

I must've been sleeping through E3 news but I just read about the Vita. I might hold out for that...

The Vita is going to have two models... a Wi-fi model and a Wi-fi + 3G model. Does that mean I'd have to have my PSP connected through my Verizon Wireless account or something? Will 3G enable online multi-player gameplay or will it only be useful for little shit like IMing and checking e-mail?

Eturnal, I know you are interested in a PSP, don't know if you already know of this but if this will work for you I'd recommend

AFAIK it doesn't even void any warranties, though I could be mistaken. It's akin to playing on a WoW private server, Blizzard has no way of knowing you accessed it, therefore your account doesn't get banned. This thing is a removable external hardware mod that does not leave any traces or anything because it's all on your microSD card.

I have a original PSP 1001 that I'd sell. I don't have the original power cables and it is uncharged so I'm not 100% on it working but pretty sure. For 50 bucks you can come buy it from me and either bring a cable to test if it works or test your luck. If it doesn't work you can bring it back and get the 50 back. I live in Springfield so not sure how far that is from where you live/work. Comes with original case, wristband thing and some aftermarket cheapo earbuds, an aftermarket 512 memory stick.
