I hope you are either kidding, or all of your passwords are 12+ characters and include uppercase, lowercase, symbol and numerical characters.

Something tells me you're being facetious, but I've been wrong before.

I'm not. I simply don't believe anyone would care enough to find and hack my myriad accounts. Ironically, some security is provided by the fact that I only add upper and lowercases and numerical characters when the system requires it, so having the less secure password does not necessarily provide knowledge of the more secure permutation.

Download KeePass or LastPass and you can have randomly generated passwords with 50 characters or whatever you want. As long as your master password is secure...

...and if that one password gets hacked, or the service itself gets hacked/compromised, then you are really fucked.

Placing all one's eggs in one basket to the Nth degree.

KeePass is local and I'm not entirely sure if LastPass is 100% online or a mix of both. You could add whatever password/phrase and stick a bunch of 1's on the end and if the person doesn't know that it should never be cracked in your lifetime unless there is significant computing improvements.

If it's online then it's susceptible to hacking.
If it's local then if your HD gets corrupted you are seriously screwed.

Either way that kind of thing is just another level of risk. Virtual keychains have been around for a good 15 years now and have always been a huge liability.

If someone steals your online identity it will be by either hacking the servers directly, putting a trojan on your PC or going through your garbage. I don't buy into this whole password fetish.
