Yes.

If you don't think so, you can always strive to repeal/change the amendment.

Is that a matter of moral principle - belief in the right to own a bazooka - or a matter of legalism - because the law, however unreasonable, putatively says so?

Pretty much how I feel about FUBU sometimes.

This is the best place to argue politics, imo, as long as you go into it knowing that you WILL NOT change anyone's minds. It's nice to get the other side of the story in a relatively calm manner, as opposed to knocking heads with some crazed extremist in person.

Fanta is definitely right. It's not even that we're physically removed from each other. FUBU patrons, of whatever personal and political disposition, are, on average, significantly more reasonable and intelligent than the general population. Granted, that's not saying much, but it is better than the alternative.

I wouldn't care if my neighbor owned a tank, so long as he was responsible with it and didn't tear up Boredalt's lawn or howitzer my lemonade stand.

Plenty of people are irresponsible with automobiles, which kill more people every year in this country than guns (or tanks), but I don't see anyone calling for a policy of prior restraint for 2-ton, four-wheeled death machines.

It's called a driver's license.

And while 45800 is a bigger number than 31224, I'd say that proportionally speaking (relative to how many cars are in use vs firearms are in use) cars are safer.

You can't rob someone with a car. This argument is stupid.

I wonder if trying to rob someone with a car would be assault with a deadly weapon on top of attempted robbery.

You can swing anything in court with a good enough lawyer and a bad enough jury.
