intellect is simply the ability to understand objective material and recall it appropriately. and in your case, a "wall of text" is a giant, superfluous, mass of semantic details that you typically use to counter arguments. it is a popular way to win debates, by approaching the subject from a pointallistic standpoint and burying your opponent in literary minutiae.

I'll agree with this assessment of Aestu's debating tactics. Not to say he doesn't have good things to say, or that it isn't worthwhile debating with him....but yes he does do that imo, probably why he wins a lot of arguments. I need to learn how to effectively do that.

example: the entire thread where you decided you knew more about a situation you did not see than all the people who did see it. you were a braggart and a fool in that thread in spades.

I think Aestu inspires two camps of people:

1. People who loathe Aestu and despise everything he says and stands for
2. People who find Aestu to be fascinating/interesting and therefore kind of "like" him

By Aestu's own admission, no one actually is, or ever could be "friends" with him.

I probably should have done this earlier, given the nature of what this thread was (an @ post of unfriendly kinds, which leads to keyboard fights). I refrained because I'm really a nice guy who doesn't want to kill anything (be as unmoderating as possible). Not that this thread has become a full blown "UR DUMB, NO U R" thread, it's not particularly interesting, needed, and it could become that.
