This "the ark is in the mountains of Turkey" thing has been going on forever. I've met people who claimed to have seen it...but didn't have pictures. The excuse a lot of these people have is that the Turkish government denies its existence for one reason or another.

I can't imagine there would be much left after what has to be at least a few thousand years, anyway.
