So SWG was my first mmo if you don't count phantasy star online for the DC, I was excited to get to play a star wars game where you are free to explore the star wars universe (or atleast a nice bit of it) what starwars fan wouldnt be?

Anywhom, once I heard about this game a little bit after I made one of my first attempts to quit WoW, I got quite excited. I've been wanting to play a more polished star wars mmo for some time. I'm going to be quite pleased if on top of a hopefully functional set of base mmo necessities (pvp, crafting, economy, etc) I'm going to be enjoying the story part the game offers. I loved the kotors, and to see an mmo ontop of an excellent game like that sounds pretty awesome to me.

But I digress, what are your opinions on what you've seen of it so far?

Starting to lose interest in it honestly... I am a diehard Bioware and a die hard Star Wars fan. KOTOR1/2 are some of my favorite games ever. But lately, at least in comparison with Guild Wars 2 (which I'm also following like a fanatic), it's starting to pale in comparison.

GW2 seems to be taking a similar direction with story being a strong emphasis, but it just... looks better now.

Hrm, Kevin did that shit to me and made me look at GW2, but honestly a well done star wars mmo is such a huge pull for me, I've always wanted to have a boba fett-like existence in an mmo, it's one of the reasons I did the bounty hunting thing for awhile. I definitely will be sorely disappointed if there isn't player bounty hunting though.

Would you rather see Stars at war or Guilds?

Understandable :D The option to be a Jedi Consular in a multiplayer setting where I can truly utilize diplomacy is pretty much a wetdream of mine, and I have a feeling it's going to happen in ToR. I just wish Bioware would release more information and not tie everything (or restrict information) to OMGSTORY.

But srsly, watch those videos I posted. The last one especially will blow your mind. Divinity's Reach is absolutely gorgeous, and the Shatterer Dragon event is fucking AWESOME.

+ Charr are badass

I've heard the combat system for GW2 is quite different from most which sounds interesting, I also really like how SWTOR handles combat graphically. It's pretty amazing that a character in an mmo can perform a visual collision when blocking with its weapon wherever the attack is coming from. Lightsabers actually clash so it looks like combat from the prequels

I hope GW2 has skillshots.

And elevation-range modifiers.

The only thing which really matters is how much Star Wars each game is.

One of them is a lot. One of them is not. Discussion over forever.

(Go Republic with USD and I. Hopefully the game is worth playing)

The Star Wars game has peeked my interest for the past year. This is one of the few genre that would pull me from WoW but I want to see the game before I start selling off my toons. I played Guild Wars before WoW and became quite disinterested when the third xpac came out and made the game stupid easy. That is the reason I left for WoW. When you can get a toon to 19 in a weekend I knew it was time to stop. Plus all of my firends from GW had gone to kill orcs and dwarfs in some place called Azeroth so I had to go help them, lol. I will purchase ToR when it comes out and play it for as long as it holds my interest, if it holds it to the point that I dont log in to wow then it will be my new game.

9 level 90s and 10 85s, Damn I need another hobby.

This will be pending on how I like bounty hunter compared to smuggler or trooper

Also if I want to be a saber wielder which is also possible. Basically everything looks sweet except for the imperial agent, but that class is lacking some coverage in previews so w/e.

Though calling down sky lasers is pretty nifty.
