I seem to have a habit of getting roped into terrible service deals (definitely an area I could improve on in my business dealings). This one I got roped into right out of college when I first moved to Chicago.

It's internet that uses 4G technology in cities, you connect it via USB, and it's "nice" because you can plug it into your laptop anywhere in the city and have internet. Also, when I talked with the guy, he said I could have internet that very day (I was anxious to get online as fast as possible).
Well, Clearwire sucks ass. Don't get it.
1. Latency: Always around 200, lately has been in the area of 19000 for some reason (I think I pissed them off by torrenting so they've slowed me down as to make everything unplayable). What's nice is I straight up asked the guy before I signed up:
"How is this with online gaming? I play WoW, will I have low latency, solid connectivity?"
Of course he said "Oh yes, you shouldn't have any problems. You can definitely game with this"
Fucking liar.
2. Can't connect, drops connection. I'm in one of the "best" areas for the service with the strongest signal. Sometimes I simply cannot connect, or the connection gets dropped. Now, because they've slowed it down, I can barely load facebook...wtf.
SOLUTION: Well, I'm going to go with cable internet (RCN - local Chicago company). However, these fuckers locked me into a 2 year contract. The fee to cancel is around $150-$250 because they are greedy bastards. I'm considering going in there and informing them that I was straight up lied to about their service...perhaps they will waive the outrageous fee.
TLDR: Don't ever buy Clearwire, it fucking sucks donkey dick.
