Aren't the two people mentioning tuition Canadian? You guys pay like 2k a year, and I refuse to listen to any evidence to the contrary.
And I kind of want a Nook for the commute.
Yeah, but I pay all of my expenses myself (except for rent and food since I'm living at home). Tuition and books is around $5,500-6,000/yr which is a lot when you're only working 12 months out of 40 (full course load every semester + 3 internships), my internships cover the cost of that and then some easily but throw in car insurance, phone, train/bus pass, going out and it adds up fast. I'm not broke or even close, I have a good amount of money saved from working before going back to school, but that doesn't mean I want to be broke when I graduate.
I don't like a lot of stuff, most of my hobbies are inexpensive, when I want something I usually just buy it myself. The only thing I really want is a decent watch, but I'd rather just buy it myself so I can pick out what I want, when I want, where I want and not have to worry about price or anything. I need a winter jacket but fuck that, it is cold outside I am buying one within the next week. Only other thing I can think of is a new mobo/ram/cpu/ssd/case which is just too expensive since I either want all of those things or none at all and I'm not willing to buy the rest myself unless my computer shits itself (which is very possible it will before Christmas since I have to put it on its side or it shorts out and turns off randomly).
