Necra, you're in the process of getting the axe, right? Somebody fill me in on how many lockouts it takes to acquire it. I've talked to Tj and Kiki about sharing the loot if we all run the raid every week.

There's a lot to be made from the chest. They're unique items, I know? Not unique to each other though, right?

It is easy to do a full HM run every week, as I do, even with random dumb pugs. You can expect about 6-9 frags a week, so about 6-9 weeks.

The chest will appear on the LK after the player has completed the Shadowmourne. The drop is triggered by a hidden flag connected to receiving the Shadowmourne itself and not attached to the quest to kill the LK which is the final step of the chain after the Shadowmourne has been awarded by the penultimate quest. The chest contains five individual quest starters that are redeemed in the lobby of ICC; these quest starter items are BoP and can be used only by the player with the axe, and only once. Completing each of these turn-ins awards the individual BoE items, which can then be traded freely.

I'm not sure what you mean by "unique to each other". The BoE items are Unique, not Unique-Equipped, meaning any one player, including the axe holder on the quest, can possess only one at a time.

If the axe holder already possesses any of the items, e.g., the tabard or music box, the quest awarding the item already owned will register a "You Have Too Many Of That Item Already; Cannot Collect Quest Reward; Cannot Complete Quest" error. This is common, it happened to me too, and GMs are usually willing enough to fix the problem. If necessary, simply say, "I need to speak with a senior specialist."

The only exception is the Crimson Deathcharger. It is not unique and a player can have more than one in inventory, or hold onto another after one has already been trained.

It took me about 8 weeks. I was toying with the idea of getting a second shadowmourne on my DK and selling the items. That way I can tank with it forever, as I do with thunderfury on my paladin. That said, I'm still looking for the achieves on my priest so let me know when you guys are gonna go.

Yeah, I was talking to Tj about it. We'd have to run two different raids or only one of us could get shards. I need my infusions and then I can start souls and then shards so I'm a little ahead of you so it wouldn't matter the first week or so. I'm just looking to get to the shard portion of the quest so I can start running it regularly and just loot shards.

I'm down to go either way.

I'd be down to help if this is horde side.

You can get all of the pre-shard steps done, and even loot your first shard off LK, if you do it correctly. I don't mind leading it if people are unfamiliar with it/unfamiliar with dealing with pug stupidity. I genuinely enjoyed the pugs after the first few though, because people were always pretty nice.

i'll be helping out as well. i only need heroic BC for my mount, but i'm interested in getting heroic LK. keep me posted.

It's also nice to let pugs know that they won't be getting their mount if it is their first time in the instance (BQL achieve requires at lease 2 runs) and that it will be pretty tough (almost impossible for pugs) to get the LK achieves plus heroic LK kill so they will have to choose what they want more.

So half of the quest chain must be completed in 25 man, correct? Meh. Necra, if you want, I'm in no rush to get my shadowmourne. I'll help you out if you help me (Insert gay joke).

The entire quest chain is 25-man only. Shards and bloods only drop on 25-man and infusions are 25-man only as well.

I think you can harvest the souls in 10-man, not sure, but that part is marginal.

Of course. Let's all get legendaries and JO together!

It's like now 50 souls btw, down from 1000. So if you kill trash before the infusions bosses, you'd still be able to get the infusions in the same run
