I play when I can... but in general, it's one of the most amazing things I've experienced. There is no gimmicks, garrisons, or other bullshit. I hate private servers and everything they stand for, but it's not the case here. It's really something special, it's seriously Vanilla in it's unaltered state, as everything used to be.

It's a great distraction or even permanent home for anyone not happy, or bored with WoD. All the zones are full of great people leveling, awesome world PvP, and just fun commodity all around.

I've attached a picture of off peak Ironforge, it's a big difference from what you'd see on Retail, for obvious reasons.

I'd just like to see the spirit of WoW continue, in some way. If these next expansions keep falling short.

I was reading that it has stability/lag issues, confirm/deny?

Also that the servers are in Europe so even on a stable server the ping is bad. Yours seems to be in the green though.

I can't confirm latency issues, my ping hovers at 90-100, never anymore. I also completely agree with not wanting to play if their is lag etc, but I haven't had any issues as of yet. (3 days played time, lvl 33) Which is a good sign. It's also worth mentioning that.... I don't believe they have a "Tuesday" maintenance, I'm sure their is something similar though; they also have a higher active population than any other server, including Retail servers. I don't know blizzards numbers, but on this server they have the active players online on the home page, and I've seen as many as 14k people online at ONE time, logged in. It's an entirely different beast all together.

If you're on the fence, you should just play an afternoon, see how you like it. Not like you have anything to lose. It's pretty fucking close to a damn dream. Just being honest.

Word. Alliance PvP? I don't have any strong attachment to faction with regards to legacy servers, and I always wanted to be a Vanilla warlock because holy fuck they're overpowered.

... and Nostalrius Ends. A shame, since I'd only heard of it last week. For Blizzard, it must have been an embarrassment to see a private server booming in the face of an ever-shrinking retail fanbase. Back to ESO, I suppose.

It's incredible to me that Blizz refuses to serve a community that clearly desires vanilla/TBC servers. Would it be so hard to set one up and charge people for it like normal if they want that experience?

I highly doubt it would impact expansions negatively.
