You know, a lot of people get into "ZOMG Graphics" and want the "latest" and "greatest" games/consoles. I'm not one of those people. Of course I enjoy the PS3 and XBOX 360...but to me, it's all about the gameplay. For example, even though WoW's graphics are "cartoony" I still enjoy the game (when Blizz isn't destroying it).

Do you play any old school games? What's your favorite console of all time?

Mine has to be the N64, since it was like my childhood. I still have mine.....I just hooked it up to a projector in my living room, and I gotta say, it's a crazy amount of fun:

I currently have a WII but my all time favorite was the Super Nintendo. I really loved the original NES but having to clean the contacts on your games every day and using a bent baseball card to get the connection just right got old as hell. There is a used game store by my house that has a line on the top load NES that orignally was not released in the states for some reason. One of the guys lives a few blocks from my house and is going to let me know if they every get any in that are not pre purchased already.

I also went XBox for a while, but was severely disapointed when I got the media center extender for it and found out I had to run a disk in it the whole time I wanted to watch a movie from my media center pc. I eventually gave up on and and went WII instead of 360 since that was also around the time I discovered WoWcrack. My brothers and I will bust out the Sega every once in a while when we go to have dinner with my mom.

SNES was the best system ever. (Kinda the reason I love my DS because I can play Chrono Trigger over and over and over.)

Love me some SNES RPGs(Chrono Trigger and FF4 are OP). But I still love my original Zelda(spiffy gold cartridge !) and FF1, and Battle Toads2 is hilariously good. And I always find myself playing Tennis for some reason >.>

Oh and you can refurbish a NES with relative ease. They actually have 2 sets of contacts in them(they are kinda like spring clips, when you push the contact in the game into the "socket" it pushs them apart and they tend to end up wearing out from the jiggle factor), you push the game into the first set(the set that wears out) and then when you push the tray down it pushs the other end of the first set(game type contact) down into an identical set on the MoBo. So if you yank that thing open you can take out the the first set completely and then pull out the sec one on the MoBo and put it into the tray and then rewire it to the MoBo. Then you just push the cartridge in(don't have to push it down anymore, and I wedged mine up with a block of wood so as not to dmg anything after the fact). Then it will work like a beauty till it wears out again, and you can also buy after market internal contacts for like 9bucks.

I used to referb them for friends, it became kind of a summer job at one point. I still prefer the topload models because they almost never had issues other than old age.

I was playing Lost Vikings just last night on a SNES emulator.

And Mario 64 is hella awesome. But hella dumb some times, when you're sitting there going "wut do?".

"Ok we aren't such things and birds are pretty advanced. They fly and shit from anywhere they want. While we sit on our automatic toilets, they're shitting on people and my car while a cool breeze tickles their anus. That's the life."

N64 has to be it for me. I have fond memories of alot of shit. PS1 was FF7, FFT, Twisted Metal etc. SNES and Sega are all the ones that pretty much everyone fell in love with. My N64 list is so gigantic though and I still hook it up to play shit. perfect dark ayoooooooooooooooooooooooooo

i dunno though, most newer games just don't do it for me anymore. along side the fact that basically everything has been done, so making something innovative almost never happens, most games just don't have the lasting power. why can an RPG made 12 years ago take 60 hours to finish, adding a hell of alot more time to that if you actually do everything and push every character to the limit, meanwhile modern ones last 50 at most, and that's giving it benefit of the doubt?

I'm debating posting a picture of my Commodore 4000. Or my 3DO.

Super Nintendo had Mega Man X, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instict (Orchid and Glacius were funlol), Mario Kart, Super Gameboy, and Mario!

The N64 had Ocarina of Time (Majora's Mask was fun simply because you could roll around as a goron!), Diddy Kong Racing, Goldeneye, Shadowman, Banjo-Kazooie, Rush, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and Poke'mon Stadium!

Playstation had Final Fantasy 7 & 8, Legend of Dragoon, Tomba, Driver, Chocobo's Dungeon, and Chocobo Racing!

Sega Gen had Sonic, Sonic Spinball, Lion King, World of Illusion, Toy Story, Golden Axe, and of course ECHO THE MOTHER FUCKIN' DOLPHIN!

Plus many more exciting and fun titles that I'm sure I'd hate if I actually went back and played them!

Not going to touch on Xbox or PS2 and up because that's not really old school yet.
