so i logged on to the wow forums today and got this

And this surprises you how? Basically if you want to get someone forum banned you just simply cry and cry like they put your kitten in a bench vice and you will get your way. And btw, yes DU has had some very questionable recruitment.

What I've heard from many people is that they have this core that has stayed together as the guild has transferred from server to server, practicing churn-and-burn recruitment. All their core raiders sit in officer chat, and naturally everything that doesn't work as it should is the fault of people who haven't been in the guild as long. I've also heard that their loot is biased beyond reason and they have reasonably competent and determined but infantile and abusive leadership.

Speaking from personal experience, they approached me to join when I was still on BH - and they wanted me to raid as holy MS. One of their officers took the initiative to invite me to his arena team (with which I never played a single game). I was friends with several of their members, one of them a highly competent holy paladin, with whom they had no reason to find fault except this guy just couldn't stand them anymore.

One of the lessons I've learned over the years is that open doors are not necessarily to be taken.

On the other hand, it took Vbomb many, many months of raiding with them to reach Core rank. Yet Vbomb is not a particularly talented paladin. It really is just a matter of being able to tolerate these people.

Probably they will eventually simply burn through the last of the pool on BH and transfer off to yet another server.

And yeah, Kamguh, I remember Spicy leaving RM, raiding with DU for like, a week, then saying "ok fuck this" and going back to RM.

I know they made Meowth move all of his alts to DU and he had to show a screenshot of his character screen. (Pre-RealID)

He probably had to RealID friend them too.

Man the only guild I knew of prior to this that made you keep all your alts in-guild was SG, and they were really lenient if they liked you (I had 2 characters in SG, the other 8 were elsewhere and I never got shit for it).

As my spy network is practically inactive at this point, I can't say I know very much about DU or their practices. Sounds pretty terrible though.

If destruction exists, we must destroy everything.
