i need you to decipher something for me. the gist of the story is: about a year ago i met this girl, we talked a lot, hung out a couple of times, then one day she just disappeared and stopped returning phone calls/texts. i shrugged it off and went on with my life. anyway, i thought i saw her a couple days ago so i sent her a message saying, "hi idk if you remember but we hung out a couple of times a year ago whats up blah blah" and she responded and i would like it if some femmes can decipher wtf this means.

Hmmmm, as a reformed "love 'em and leave 'em" gal, I think you might be reading too much into the last bit of the message. I think she was more saying, "If you want to talk" in a way that sounds much less emo.

I'd probably send her a message back and say "I suppose it wasn't you then! I hope you are enjoying your new {location} blah blah blah. This is what has been happening with me {blah blah blah}"

It sounds like a pretty casual message, imo.

It's hard to accept but she doesn't seem interested in you that's why she stopped returning phone calls/messages. To me it only seems like she's replying now cause you saw her.

The last part doesn't really have any deep meaning in it. Though if you really want to find out, send her a message and see how she replies if she does at all.

People do say that all the time, but me personally, I don't tell you "...if you want to talk" unless I really do want you to call or text me. It's a major hint without otherwise telling you to do it.

However, from her previous behavior, she either lost interest (simple answer) or something happened to make her switch her focus (in turn, losing interest) such as maybe an ex-boyfriend came back into the picture or something along those lines. I don't really like the way she handled that situation, regardless of what happened, so in my personal opinion, I would say to shrug her off yet again.
