I was refering to Jeb Bush, the btother that many people thought should have run but W was pushed ahead for some reason. And saying Bush was a two-term president is just a reminder that voters can fuck up that bad twice. If Kerry grew some balls or at least asked his wife if he could hold the jar she keeps them in he would have won that election. But instead he kept avoiding the 'Nam question because he was a soldier that did his job while W was hiding in the national guard.

Hiding in the National Guard? Do you know how many guardsmen got called up for 'Nam and every other war/conflict afterwards? The only thing that kept W from going over there was that the type of aircraft his unit deployed with wasn't wanted/needed. That horse has been beaten to death. Even Obama is tired of the "Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush" bullshit, and pretty much said so last night in his speech.

Of course, you could just keep going the Dan Rather route and insist that despite all the available (non-fictional) evidence Bush bought his way out of duty, and that all your documentation proving it being fake doesn't matter because you know it's true.

That said, W was the worst republican ever. I'm glad he's gone. Current asshat is worse, though.

Yes Jubber, I do know how many guardsmen were called up, shipped over, and came home in boxes if at all. I also know that the whole buying his way out was beaten to death. But I also know that the conservatives were SCREAMING over and over again about Bill Clinton not serving during Vietnam as well, but when you brought up the issue about Bush it was quickly turned around to show him as some sort of hero for guarding a chair somewhere in the South. I always find it amazing that when one side wants to push an issue they drive it to the extreme, but when you turn it on them they change the subject. Bush could not stand toe to toe with Kerry on service record so he went after other issues, like scaring the hell out of old people and prudes about the fact that gay people wanted to be as misrable as married people. Truth be told I hate politics and most politicians because it is all one big game of who can come up with the most bullshit.
