The real shitty part (for those of us who enjoy their titles) is that unlocking a title grants all other, lesser titles. Some schmuck waits until the middle of the season, pays to be boosted to HWL and gets every other title as well.

Actually, you get each title as you rank up and you get to keep it regardless of season. The only one that comes at the end is "Hero of the Horde/Alliance" and that is to the top .5% and is wiped at the end of each new season.

That is pretty much exactly what I said.

When you hit a rating 1100-2400 in increments of 100, you get a title to keep forever.

The 'sucks for those who have them' was because they are going to be ridiculously cheapened when anyone can just buy them and they are in no way different than the old ones.

Old ones come with at least a feat of strength and what confused me was the fact that you referenced the middle of the season, as if it matters when they purchased a carry to HWL. I read that as implying that at the end of the season they get HWL and all other titles. Sorry for the confusion. ;]

Like when aestu and meowth got battlemaster.

Or when Ouchies/Dviny/Mackla/etc. got Grand Marshal/High Warlord.

Not like getting some of those titles were hard in the old system. It was about how much time you could play, with little skill involved, or in some cases how many pocket healers you had.

Adding nostalgic things to the game was a big "this game has peaked" flag for me, when they released WotLK with a joke version of Naxx and 3 single raid boss dungeons I couldn't believe it. This expansion feels like it's banking on that whole feeling, I don't even have the slightest urge to pick it up and check it out.



This is WoW. The same thing could be said for everything in this game except getting Gladiator (and possibly select raid achievements)

Considering what Laelia pointed out, I don't really care. They're already grandfathering existing titles, and it's not like it meant shit when you consider that retards like Dviny and Ouchies were sporting GM.

Or Mackla and Chefjeff. Or a definite majority of the Horde HWLs, actually.

I, for one, will enjoy being a General.
