This is characteristic of you. You use psychology as a religion: as a conduit to a higher power that conveniently supports whatever you say or do because of "faith". I'm getting sick of people instantly tossing his opinions out of the window because you don't like them. If you disagree, say so and state why. B mature. Nobody is EVER going to convince ANYONE to change their minds on these boards. If Aestu's responses make you guys this livid, I'm not so sure that he's the only one who needs to re-evaluate himself.

I used to be aboard the Aestu-Hate-Train. Then it became clear that his opinions are simply that - opinions. And everybody is entitled to have their own, and have them respected. Sometimes even I forget this fact, but I usually collect myself and apologize for it. Again, be mature.

Can't have any thread about anything Aestu has an opinion on without him swinging his dick around calling people Nazi's and completely changing the topic in a matter of 2-3 posts. Am I against topics and discussions taking their natural course? Not at all. That's the nature of conversation. I do think it's somewhat retarded that any thread about any number of things results in this type of shit.


Defense of authority in every situation imaginable is just stupid as hell. I think to condemn police and the military or the powers that be in every situation imaginable is equally stupid. This is what Aestu does. I have yet to see anyone, a single poster of this board defend police actions to the death the way Aestu condemns it.

I can understand the exasperation. But I think this time he stated what he thought, then someone said something about "fool" and "brainosaurus" and "projection" and whatnot. Don't feel like looking back to point out names. But this isn't the first time people have done this, then he defends himself (albeit sometimes long-winded-ly) and then you guys jump on his defense.

I don't care to take the fucking time to argue with someone who will not listen to reason or established facts, and has such a skewed world view that his walls should be fucking padded.

Aestu is merely having his own vitriol reflected back at him. If you'll recall...and I'm sure Synth could drum up accounts, many people have tried to discuss things with him reasonably (at least initially). However, he inevitably turns into a child and says "you're stupid and wrong" or "you're a nazi" and any civil discussion breaks down.

I don't have a problem with him having opinions...of course he can think whatever backwards thing he wants about how all cops eat babies or whatever....but the fact that he does it in such a condescending manner, resorting to personal attacks...it's no wonder that it's impossible to have any meaningful dialogue with him.

The whole concept of a thread being "Aestu'd" has its basis in fact.

Think of this thread, it started as just a funny story about some roid raging guy getting arrested....

Regardless of the fact that he's expressing his opinion, and obviously trying to get Usdk's goat because of his respect for cops....he ends with point 5 (underlined) which is a direct shot at Usdk for no reason. 1-4 are passable, 5 is just Aestu being a pain.

Of course this gets a rise from Usdk, then there's some banter back and forth, when Aestu finally goes "Usdk is a Nazi"

Again, personal attack because he doesn't like Usdk's opinion.

I know you're a nice guy Fanta...and I felt the same as you ("LEAVE AESTU ALONE!") previously, but after trying to be friendly with him, and trying to have honest discussions with him...I've realized it's futile. He wants to be combative.

At least when I am arguing with Eturnal or Mayo or whoever I don't feel like it's a constant exercise in personal insults (though of course they are spread throughout any discussion here).

Aestu does this to himself - and it's not just Mayo being a Forum Czar banning him...it's how his whole approach to every thread and discussion is, and how it inevitably gets derailed as a result. Seriously, go and look at the directions many threads took in Aestu's absence.

If he could present his opinions without being an insufferable know-it-all-who-doesn't-know-shit, and if he could present his opinions without trying to insult everything about any person he is discussing things with.....maybe he wouldn't get the kind of hate he see's here.

In truth though, he likes it. So defending him won't serve any purpose. He knows it's not productive, but he likes trying to tear people down...it helps him cope with his own inadequacies. Everyone on this forum knows it from Zaryi to Mayo.

It's a shame too, because I think Aestu could do good things and actually have meaningful relationships if he wasn't such a fuck.

I get that you guys hate being put down (everybody does). I also know that I haven't exactly rushed to your defense in the past, and I apologize for that. But I think that two wrongs don't make a right, so if he's doing something you find to be reprehensible, simply abstain from responding to him. I think Cally and Iggy ignored his every post for a while before they eventually stopped coming here altogether. Perhaps we can adopt a similar policy (short of leaving.. I love you all SO DON'T LEAVE ME) and threads can remain on topic (at least a little!)

2. The "armor" cops have around here(standard partrol, not riot gear or swat team) is just a kevlar vest that is designed to eat some force from a bullet to keep it from blowing your guts out. It doesn't do shit when you're getting your face pounded in by anyone. They're not running around in god damned platemail.

3. They perhaps could have, I just don't know the details of the situation. They could have possibly blasted the guy and it been considered justified. Or they couldn't have shot him for any number of other reasons. They chose NOT to kill him, and he gets to live now because the cops made the CORRECT decision in not shooting him.
