at one of the several parties i ended up at on st.pattys someone had absinthe and my friend and i got to seem booze-cool as we were able to teach everyone there the proper way to take it


also, i had glen livet neat at a party once -- it was awesome

absinthe really isn't that interesting. yes, melted sugar cube and all, it's a novelty.

I like Sprite with UV Blue or Green. UV is one of the few drinks I can drink without a chaser.

absinthe confirmed for being overrated. although i've heard that marilyn manson's brand "Mansinthe" is actually quite potent.

Most alcohol people say tastes like x actually tastes like shit. I believe nothing any of you say.

Also sprite + uv blue is actually not bad.

jw blue in on the list, but i don't have 215$ to throw away for a bottle. probably going to end up picking a bottle up for my mum when she turns 50 this year, lol. scotch/whiskey are my new favorite spirits though - Whistlepig is pretty fanfriggingtastic. working in a 'craft cocktail' bar has it's benefits, no doubt; been introduced to some awesome stuff.

abstinthe is fun to try once, but it's a hassle and definitely overrated. i don't get people who enjoy fernet

Sprite is crisp, Diet is better because drinking sugared beverages gives me an uncomfortable sensation on my teeth - do most people get that or am I strange?

7up is better than sprite. It's crisper.

As for mtdew, I used to like it as a child and went to Taco Bell just to drink bottomless Dew.
Then I grew a palate. I can't imagine how I ever tolerated that stuff.

when i first turned 21 i was trying out a lot of liquors to try and find what was _my_ drink
vodka was the first one i tried and found it to be best with sprite (imho i guess)
mad men (specifically roger sterling) has made me want to pick up vodka again so i might do that once more next time i head to the liquor store

I'm always on the fence between Sprite and 7up. Sprite is just really refreshing.

I'm pretty much in the same boat with you on Mountain Dew though except I enjoy drinking Baja Blast.
