I am currently working 2 jobs at 65-70 hours/week. It's not easy, but you can sure put some extra money aside. You must make your own well-being a priority. This means others are going to have to understand why you can't go out/stay up/play/whatever. Hopefully, between the 2 jobs you'll have one day off from both. Much of what Bane said...

1. Rest. Rest. Rest. When you aren't working, you're resting.

2. Eat properly. NO greasy bullshit, or stuff that might unsettle your stomach. Avoid the energy boosters. I try to have small snacks like mixed nuts (I throw in some gold fish, too. sort of a poor man's trash mix) when I can.

3. Don't waste rest time on wardrobe.

4. Stay clean, but keep it to quick showers. Don't waste rest time getting clean.

5. Working 2 jobs and that many hours requires focus and discipline.

6. Did I mention rest?

Also, make sure you keep in mind that this arrangement is not forever. Knowing there is an end to it makes it feel more like a difficult, but doable inconvenience rather than overwhelming. Good luck to you.

If you're still doing it, how can anyone believe there's an end in sight?

me too, my first thought was "wow, usd's life is far-sexier than i had previously thought"
then i re-read it and realized the only sexy in his life is his relationship with dreys -- which is still sexy

I work between 60-70 hours a week of actual work + another 10 or so of travel. It really comes down to time management. Make sure you rest whenever you can. Some nights you might not feel that tired and will be tempted to stay up late watching TV or playing video games but you have to make sure to get proper sleep.

Always eat a good breakfast. I've worked a few days where i was gone from 7am-9pm and its brutal if you don't eat well. I try to limit my caffeine to 1 soda per day so having the needed energy (especially in the morning) is essential. Also try to take a day off here and there. I don't know if you are working everyday, but for me I worked 7 days a week for 2 months straight and it really started tire me out. I took 2 days off for my birthday weekend and it was great.

Save the money/put it to good use. You are working a lot, make sure to really think about the purchases you make. They way I do it is for every hour I would have to work for an item I spend at least 4 hours before I buy it. This helps prevent impulse buys.

Alright so it looks like:

8:30-2, then 3-11:30 at least 5 days a week.

The first job is kinda busy so no real time to rest but the second job is for the state and from the sound of things I'll actually have time to relax and eat and all that fun stuff, just not sleep since I do need to monitor the servers and various running dohickeys. We'll see how well this works.

Also Aestu if I remember your question as I'm too lazy to go check at the moment, Sac State.

I really miss the creperie and yellow yogurt curry. Very much.
I feel very sad a lot of the time.

What kind of job are you doing for the state?

You know I've never had anyone say they miss the people here.
As I've gotten older, I've begun to see why more and more.

I'm not sure how well it'll travel but would you like me to send you something tasty in the mail?

Student Assistant for the Legislative Data Center. I think the equivalent job title is: IT Specialist I.
As for what I'm going to be doing, a lot of maintaining and support stuff. Oh, and hours of nothing.

Did you already get what I sent? Or do great minds think alike?

The latter, I haven't received anything and I just had my girlfriend check the mail.

You still haven't told me if you would like something sent.

The unit I'm in has a Blackberry specifically for us if we need to step out of the office to walk or something. Why? I don't know.
