Azelma, I feel stupid for highlighting too. Oh well, there are worse spoilers out there I'm sure.

I looked up what Limbaugh's response was to this kerfuffle, and apparently he's saying (and this is consistent with the wording of his original comments) that he wasn't saying the comic creators were part of some liberal conspiracy, or even the movie makers, he was saying the left was going to take the Bane/Baine thing and run with it. He even backed up that assertion by referencing something Jon Stewart did on The Daily Show a few days earlier.

Okay, but still

I made some comments about it. Doesn't matter what.

I never said that the villain was created by the comic book character creator to be part of the 2012 campaign. I never said that at all.

It later goes on to say that 'oh no, I'm not blaming the Batman writers for this, I'm blaming hollywood when they've chosen to release this movie'.

Edit: But hey, who really cares. I think Stewart is sincerely just fucking around when he mentions bain/bane, but if not, shame on both of them for giving two shits.

Humor requires context. Instead of seeing this as politics making this unfunny, I choose to think it makes it funnier. I think it's hilarious that the sort of people who are constantly pointing fingers at Rush Limbaugh as if he matters (I don't think those people realize one of the big reasons Limbaugh matters in any way at all is because they're constantly reacting to him) don't realize that a) they're were so ready to be outraged they didn't listen to what he actually said and and flew off the handle with a small degree of prompting by Media Matters and the blogosphere (a word I hate myself for using, thank you buzz phrases) and b) now have to figure out how to fit The Daily Show piece into their outrage.

Basically, the longer this rolls on the more people have egg on their face and the funny it becomes to me.

It's true. I hope one day he has something really important to say but nobody bothers to listen to him... and then he gets eaten by a wolf. I'm totally done mucking up this topic and I'm ready to clean the egg off my face.

I wonder how many other people are waiting to see the film a week after it's released like I am. I bet it's a lot, in which case, maybe I'll see it two weeks after release to avoid the 2nd wave of crowded theaters. Meh... I don't really mind sitting in a stocked theater, it's just the higher likelihood of having a loudass in the theater that bothers me.

I will be seeing it again with friends next week. Probably multiple times with various friends. I like it that much.

Opening night probably won't have that. I mean, you're only gonna see it tonight if you're a super nerd almost.

Like me.

I wish I could go back to just before it started and relive watching it for the first time ;D

If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.

This is pretty much how I feel about playing WoW.

His voice doesn't get some time getting used to at all if you played any of the Diablo games.

I assume everyone already knows about this:

http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/nati ... 7749.story

Pretty fucked up...apparently people in the theatre thought it was part of the movie at first (guy threw gas canisters into the theatre and started shooting). Then they realized it was real. Bunch of kids in the theatre to, a few children are among the 12 dead.

There are some real sick fucks in the world.
