Origin might be a great platform, but with EA's terrible customer support, repeated failures during launch, and DRM policies that prevent offline play (like the completely unnecessary on-line play for the new Sim City), I'm not installing it. Why would I install something I would never use? I can download most of the non-EA games with or without Steam.

fucking hate steam

when given the choice i will always redeem keys via other means or buy on GOG. not even the convenience of having all my games in one place is enough. i will gladly deal with more shortcuts and other bloat in order to avoid having to use steam where possible. ugh, annoying program.

Does Origin still literally upload data from your computer to EA affiliates and is it still banned in Germany?
