All legal mumbo jumbo aside, the original idea was completely stupid. If I wanted the entire world to know my name I would have named my character Gene (yes that is my name but not my first name) and got it over with. The biggest concern was minors having their name plastered all over the internet and the really creepy fuckers living in grandmas basement tracking down chicks from elementary school to see if they filled out well. The guy that took the GMs name, tracked down every detail you could think of and then posted it just a few minutes later proved to blizz that it was not only possible, but was going to happen. LOL at GMs thinking we would behave.
