It was offline until sometime after I went to work (so 11pm-ish server) and was playable at 5-6am server when I got back. But there was still restarts several times in the day.

I believe 3.0 was one of the first times we got a day or so free time since it was so fucked up. We were in vent playing BF2 for a while. I think I came online around midnight and was able to start to check out specs and kept crashing or resterting mid spec so I would have to do it over again.

Good idea, I loved that on Xbox. I did the cheat where you could keep the sword at the end if you went good, wait through all of the credits, and start back up with the most powerful weapon in the game. I proceeded to destroy every guard in every town until I was completely evil just for lols.

If you're still having problems downloading the patch, turn off the P2P option and see if that helps. I've had mine off since I first noticed they put the option in, and all my patching downloads about 100% faster now.

When it was doing the 1.4GB download I closed it because movie kept buffering. Opened wow.exe since my shortcut goes there instead of the launcher and it was the Vanilla login screen. Now that it has fully updated it went back to the Wotlk login. D:

Cata beta uses vanilla login screen. I assumed it was a placeholder.

When you complete the initial download, make sure to launch the installer if it does not autorun, then when it completes run the game since there is an additional smaller patch needed.


Btw, still down.

Don't know on items (probably crit and haste), but it changes to crit on gems which is AIDS.
