...which would be likely except it's congruent and contemporaneous with a deliberate misrepresentation.

This would be a case of a broad generalization being a shill for one's cowardly inability to think critically.

Most stupidity is due not to lack of information or intelligence, but a common form of human weakness: people who instinctively recoil from challenging their established ways of thinking.

Then those people look around, see that they live on a planet full of other idiots, and make moronic statements like, "People are stupid", or "Life sucks", or "Opinions are like assholes". And they never quite grasp the disconnect between their disdain for all the other idiots on planet Earth...and why it just so happens that they, too, buy into all the same BS as everyone else. In reality, of course, those people are the dumbest fucks of all.

In this narrow example: the facts have been presented, but you don't engage them, you just write them off with an internet meme. Which is what internet memes are: emblems of mass stupidity.

Your frame of reference is especially idiotic since anyone who knows my world view well knows that my attitude towards authority is not one of denial or defiance but one of accountability and rationality. So you either didn't think before forming your opinion or you don't have the capability to do so. Which is it?

And, Azelma, this is why I honestly think you should go throw yourself under the wheels of a truck. You praise my intelligence but like every other INCURABLE moron on this planet who does so, you write off that which can be conceptualized by that which you lack. I made the analogy earlier of a creationist munching on GMO fava beans.

(I am raging here, yes, and the theme of the preceding paragraph establishes exactly what nerve you struck)

You don't need to be a genius on Callysta's level (see what I did there) but if you are susceptible to such glaring contradictions it's because you're just one incredibly dumb fuck.

So jumping to ludicrous conclusions based on incomplete and improperly weighted "facts" is better than simply ignoring someone who is clearly off their rocker.

And frankly, you're not that intelligent. I know you want to be, and you're probably smarter than a number of other people in your life (working with the public in any fashion gives one the impression that the world is full of mouth-breathers). What you are is an articulate speaker and capable debater against people who don't care. You simply shift the topic repeatedly to keep opponents off guard. Your logic is often flawed but passable to people who don't want to deal with your shit. You make numerous assumptions regarding possibilities and when your position is untenable, you simply abandon the topic altogether to go elsewhere and bitch about how no one is open-minded and because they don't see it your way they're clearly some form of troglodyte.

Edit: Aestu, while it's fun trolling, I'm just going to put you on ignore.

And I get called out on for being dickish to you. Go figure.

Don't take it personally. Aestu's foresight is so weak it's getting reclassified as twosight.

Aestu why do so many of your rants start out about subject A and then three posts later hurtle back into the vein of "EVERYONE IS STUPID EVEN PEOPL WHO THINK THEYRE SMART EXCEPT ME CUZ IM SMARTER" ?

It's getting very very old.

I'm right often enough and I have good reasons to believe I'm intelligent, amongst them Azelma himself saying so. Which was, of course, my point - people like Azelma (and you) recognize my intelligence or logical/analytical ability but write off the conclusions arrived at by that intelligence and analytical ability. It's incredibly hypocritical and small-minded.

You talk in a lot of generalizations and ad hominems that are completely detached from anything of substance - from any specific behavior or interaction. Generalizations and ad hominems that are the reflection of your feelings. You should ask yourself why you have those experiences and why you can't associate those feelings with specific experiences. Those feelings aren't rational, they're just your defense mechanisms acting up.

Put me on ignore, fine - but really that proves my point that you are merely close-minded. Were you not, it would be enough to consider what I say, write it off piecemeal, rather than clamping hands over ears because what I say hurts you in some way. Study in cognitive dissonance.

I am always impressed by your capacity to say less in 5 paragraphs than most can convey in a few lines, however I'd never misconstrue strong opinions and dearth of brevity with intelligence unless Glenn Beck is the standard.

Nobody move or the nigger gets it!

Wait, I'm sorry, totally wrong classic comedy.

A toll is a toll. And a roll is a roll. And if we don't get no tolls, we don't eat no rolls.

...Dammit.
