Give anyone power and there is a good chance they will abuse it to some degree. Education has nothing to do with it. You think all the politicians and rich/influential people in the world are uneducated? They are the biggest power abusers of all.

I do appreciate that youtube (well, maybe it would make more sense to congratulate the recording devices) is forcing the world to justify excessive force, since it can't be swept under the rug anymore.

Regardless of whether he lived there or not, he was still legally allowed to be there. In terms of private property, it's only trespassing if the person who owns it says you are trespassing. The cop flipped out for no reason and decided to swing his dick around because he thought the guy was being snarky and challenging his authoritah.

It's like I said before - give uneducated people power, and they will abuse it.

I agree with vanilla ice here.

that cop is the classic textbook definition of what comes to mind when people use the terms 'pig, bacon, etc' to describe police.

The cop should have been educated on what he can and can not do in the academy. if it's clear to us that he shouldn't have done it, he damn sure had been taught not to do it. It's not a cop problem its an asshole with a badge problem.

Everyone who has sworn an oath especially has to be accountable to the law, right to filming cops has to remain in order to help keep the rest of our rights from people like this

And what Usd said there's a lot of arsehole cops yes, but some departments have been crossing the line, going as far as to bring in ex-military for the sake of training cops to act like soldiers on civilians, NOT bright and not in our best interests imo

They do a psych eval on every police officer hopeful before he enters the academy.

considering the shit a cop sees in his career, I imagine having a psych eval repeated every few years COULD be helpful.

or maybe the ass was just having a shitty day.
