Alright Day 2 Status Update:

Day 1
Venetian Snares: missed due to laziness
Felix da Housecat: Awesome start, left to Skrillex, awesome end after Skrillex ended
Skrillex = MOSH MOSH MOSH MOSH WUB WUB WOMP MOSH MOSH MOSH...but despite some elbow jabs to the face, i managed to snag a decent shot of him w/ my phone
Image

DAY 2
Pretty much just DRINKDRINKDRINKDRINK, until around 5PM left to go browse the vendors and performers,
6PM: Me hanging out with group of friends in the front of the festival, me being bored glanced around the crowd....eyes fall on BEARDYMAN walking the crowds. Quickly leads to me and my friends throwing up hands yelling "BEARDYMAN" and snagging pictures with him before he started to set up for his set
Image
Greatest moment of the festival thus far, great guy amazing beatboxer, and followed with an amazing set using "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode*

Come back to room, drunk friend has vomited all over the floor and bed, spend the next couple hours cleaning up and writing this status report

*I'd like to think that Beardyman put Personal Jesus in the set because I was wearing my Depeche Mode jacket 2 hours before his set and during catching him in the festival for the photo

Skrillex live sounds like it would be a great time. Glad you had fun.

4 broken noses, 3 stops of the show by Skrillex asking people to calm down, 2 barfing chicks, 1 trample case, and a partridge in a pear tree.

kinda hard to enjoy the music when all people wanna do is mosh...but a great show none the less

I'm guessing that when he ripped into that laptop solo everyone went apeshit and couldn't control themselves.

be careful what you mock, jubber. your limited understanding is showing again.

a standard keyboard has 104 keys, which can be bound many levels down with use of shift/meta/ctrl etc.

PVD was one of the first djs to heavily incorporate a laptop into his arsenal, to redo songs on the fly. BT is another artist known for using a laptop to recreate songs on the fly, with accompaniment or sans.

and unlike, say, metallica, which alters its music with an orchestra, that laptop is the orchestra.

CAREFUL YOUR IGNORANCE IS SHOWING

Beardyman's setup is:
- 5 Kaos Modulation Pads
- 1 Beatboxer

Skrillex's setup is:
- 1 Laptop
- 1 Midi Pad
- 2 Mixer

Jesus Christ, you guys are overly sensitive. Aside from Deadmau5, I have no idea how any of those guys can toss in any showmanship, is all. It's an entirely different thing from traditional musical performance...I just made it funny. Don't get bent out of shape, giggle with me.
