Yeah but you're going to compare a riot after a hockey team getting shit stomped to say, the race riots in LA after the rodney king beating.

it's not apples and oranges, but its apples and REALLY BIG apples.

anyone who riots over a game, win or lose(i know americans do it too) is an embarassment to the institution that is sport.

The riot wasn't after the beating, the riot was after the 4 cops were acquitted.

There is a substantial difference between someone being attacked by the police, and those same police being acquitted despite video evidence showing them circling around a man on the ground beating him.

Your point? Boston is still an American city...a Canadian city hasn't hoisted the Cup since 1993...and it's funny....especially when they riot like a bunch of babies after they lose.

Tim Thomas was the biggest factor on the Boston side, and he's American. The Cup will be spending more time in Canada this summer than it would have it Vancouver won, though.

Haha I see. I feel like Canada always wins the Stanley cup in that case....although I think the Red Wings always have a crap ton of Russians on their team.

The only time people turn it into a nationality thing is when a Canadian team is in it (and they claim they should win because they're Canadian), or when one team boos the other's national anthem (which pretty much just happens in Montreal).

Sidenote: The Bruins were more Canadian thank the Canucks were.
