lol

I should have one but I made a few mistakes that last game to try to beat him down before he could stabilize. He was actually running Blue/White/Red Snapcaster Mage, Runechanter's Pike, etc.

I'm not disappointed though. My humans did work really well and 2nd place is nothing to scoff at (there were 16 players total)

Funny thing is, it came down to me vs this really friendly guy who helped me when I first got there. He turned into a real dick when he was getting out control's though. Numerous Faith's Shield and he played a Boros Reckoner which I promptly Fiend Hunter'd ("OF COURSE, THE PERFECT ANSWER OF COURSE FUCK ME". He then played another at which point he said "If you have another answer for that one, I'm going to lose my shit. I proceeded to play a second Fiend Hunter. "FUCKING BULLSHIT WHAT THE FUCK".

This of course is all after I had been fortunate and been Cavern of Soulsing his counters all night. He kept forgetting and/or trying to sneak one over on me.

From the Vault is a competition going on in several game stores; I'm not sure if it's nation wide. Game Theory, the shop I play at, has a rather large following so they're rewarding the top 15 competitors with a FTV box. The way players can rank in the top 15 is by gaining FTV points which are given by any magic event that would give magic packs as a payout. One pack that you would win can be instead rewarded with 5 FTV points. Additionally, you get one point for participating in said magic event.

The contents of the FTV box are the staples in the past 20 years of tournament magic, but they're also foiled.

1 = 1993: Dark Ritual
2 - 1994: Swords to Plowshares
3 - 1995: Hymn to Tourach
4 - 1996: Fyndhorn Elves
5 - 1997: Impulse
6 - 1998: Wall of Blossoms
7 - 1999: Thran Dynamo
8 - 2000: Tangle Wire
9 - 2001: Fact of Fiction
10 - 2002: Chainer's Edict
11 - 2003: Akroma's Vengeance
12 - 2004: Gilded Lotus
13 - 2005: Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni
14 - 2006: Char
15 - 2007: Venser, Shaper Savant
16 - 2008: Chameleon Colossus
17 - 2009: Cruel Ultimatum
18 - 2010: Jace, the Mind Sculptor
19 - 2011: Green Sun's Zenith
20 - 2012: Kessig Wolf Run

I'm in 5th place, and I only need to maintain at least 15th place to receive a box. Wish me luck, guys!

Also, Greg

I think sometimes that you're too busy during the week with work or other responsibilities that trump the ease of attending community college, that's why I haven't called you in the past few months. Can we meet at Game Theory one of these days next week?

Play against yourself obviously. It worked really well when playing my Magical Scientist deck (yugioh), I didn't even need another person because lol first turn kills.

I know many of yall are MTG fans, but the new Yugioh Ban list came out and it is a fun one.

http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/

Card Destruction, Pot of Avarice, Monster Reborn, Heavy Storm and Solemn Judgement are all forbidden now.

I haven't played Yugioh in like 8 years but from what I've gathered here and there, it sounds like a lot of bullshit not fun ever again. They ban all of the fun combos/errata the fuck out of shit. Some of that shit is probably rightly banned (turn 1 kills which are apparently frequent). It really looks like it's devolved into a game much like champions on League of Legends. Release new super powered shit so people will buy them. Nerf/ban them next patch to keep the peace while also releasing more new super powered shit so people will in turn buy them. Repeat. It's how money is made. That's what you get I guess when you base a card game off a comic (while pulling direct influences from other card games).

tldr: I don't like the way Yugioh is now and was having a hard time liking it when I did play.

in before Yata-Lock
