Think they're cast for season 3. Or something. Not that I think for a second that season 3 will be anything like the book, if season 2 was any indication.

Not having Sean Bean apparently makes your series shit itself.

It wasn't that bad. Though Theon came out as more of a whiney bitch than a man who's been holding a grudge his entire life and finally gets to realize it. Or so I had him pictured.

Spoiler (highlight to view):
What the hell was the point of the burning of winterfell? Wouldn't the 500 dudes outside just be like "oh, they're lighting shit up, lets just go in and kill them"?

Peasants? They don't fight much in this series so far as I can tell. I feel like that entire scene was off a lot.

The show does a really poor job of explaining what happened, Yokken.

Spoiler (highlight to view):
Normally the guy that Robb sends north to retake his castle is the world's biggest douche (son of the guy who suggests it) who loves murdering for sport, and he sacks/burns Winterfell because he can and as part of his father's master plan. Since he's only ever mentioned offscreen in the show, it looks like Winterfell burned down for no reason.

Yeah that was really odd how they just completely skipped over that. House of the Undying scene wasn't as good either :(

Spoiler (highlight to view):
Wanna explain what was happening with the Game of Thrones: Wrath of the Lich King going on at the end of the season? They've sort of hinted at the undead in the beginning of season 1, but they all of a sudden are an "organized" army? I also thought that the part where Snow killed that other crow was weird as shit, considering it looked like they were gonna pick a fight and take advantage of the guards until Snow skewered him and all of a sudden all of the gingers like him

I like the show, but the more I think about it the more the finale of season 2 was trying to tie off a billion plots poorly.

I wouldn't consider them organized, but in the books that scene is the prologue of book 3, so i feel like they rushed that scene and didn't lead up to it properly so that people who dont read the books will see it and be like HOLY SHIT I CANT WAIT. As I remember in the books, the crows went north to figure out wtf is up with the wildlings, some scouts come back to that mountain, some(Qorin and jon snow) dont, then those icy mother fuckers show up and tear the place apart.

My thoughts exactly.

Defo should have been a 2 hour episode.

Spoiler (highlight to view):
That fight between Jon and Qhorin is supposed to be a shitton more convincing and happen in a less canned fashion. The show was all "hey, you two, fight to the death," whereas the book has Qhorin very convincingly attempt to murder Jon, who wins mostly because his giant fucking wolf helps him out, and the Gingers buy it because it looks like a real defection.

As for that giant undead army, it's not supposed to happen in quite that fashion. Sam accidentally kills one of the white blue-eyed dudes by flailing wildly and tripping onto him with an obsidian knife, but only after said white bastard has killed like three people. The actual zombie army is setting up to raid the shit out of the Watchmen that were fortifying that circular fort we saw halfway into the season, but since those scenes are so disjointed, no one has any clue that's what's going on. Like, turbo-double-spoilers: those white sons of bitches are the real antagonist, but everyone's too caught up in their own shit to notice or care. All the humans fighting each other is icing on the cake, really.

And every bit of the season that happens in Qarth is infuriating. I like Emilia Clarke's tits as much as anyone, but none of her season 2 scenes ever happen.

Spoiler (highlight to view):
Dany's scenes in book two were pretty boring anyway, but she gets awesome in 3. I thought Sam killed an Other AFTER running from the battle at the fist?

This whole thread has been deemed a spoiler thread, so the spoiler tags are probably unnecessary.

Fuck spoiler tags.

Those white walkers were scary.

Also, I really like Rob's new gal. Apparently Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter lololol
