I understand it perfectly well, and it does have some relevance. I merely thought it might spark some new ideas/debate.

But i am humble quadtard, and i pale in the wake of aestus force for true genuis and infallible knowledge, and thus i am forced to admit i dont understand one word of it, i am not fit to post in this thread and i am further obliged to confess that i am a moron and have nothing to contribute, in fact my entire life is a waste.

Should i hang or shoot?

When someone asks me if I believe in God I roll my eyes inside.

Do I believe in God in what sense? Christians like to say 'God is love.' If God is merely the feeling of loving your fellow human beings, then yes I believe in 'God' in that sense.

Is God some super magical bearded motherfucker in the clouds zapping heretics with lightning bolts? I don't believe in that.

It's impossible to believe in something if you don't know what it is. No one knows what God is, if he does indeed exist. So how can you believe in God's existence without knowing the nature of it?

the problem with religion is when people pervert it to exert power over other, more ignorant people.

or to restrict progress, like catholic church vs astronomers back in the day, or gay marriage today.

when they forget the whole "be good to people, love your neighbor like your brother, etc etc" and turn it into "kill them all in the name of god" Thats when I start to understand why there's so much hatred vs religion. they deserve it when they pull that shit.

Poisons don't spread but viruses do. The Jesus Virus, one may not know that he has it, and if he hears as such he's likely to deny it.

It refers to the belief, or disbelief, in God, in a thread discussing that topic. It was more in context than Atheist Barbie or the Kids in the Hall.

There COULD be a God, or there COULD NOT be a God. I cannot determine for sure, with the information I have been presented with. I cannot eliminate the possibility of God, but cannot confirm that one indeed exists. Therefore, I am agnostic.

It's not a "just in case" thing, that's far too juvenile. I should think that if God were all knowing and understanding and powerful, then he would forgive even atheists. So that is not my reasoning at all for being agnostic.
