Seeing as how I play a rogue and have played a hunter and can safely say that pre cata, which is what you're talking about, it was an absolute joke to kill ANY rogue as a hunter and even more so if the rogue was combat. Most hunters just suck. Period.

I'm with necra on this one, as will be most of the rogues here who played then.

Fighting rogues in wrath pretty much hinged on one variable in my experience. Cheapshot.

Rogues are mean to priests. Especially that Yewluze asshole.

Playing a priest during classic made me hate rogues. Soloing rogues during bc gave me an erection.

This isn't aimed at anyone here, but I always felt gloating as a rogue was pretty stupid. It's fair to judge skill amongst other rogues, but for most of it's existence the class has had every tool it needed and twice the utility of any other class (non-damage tricks utility, not the raid definition). A rogue killing someone just isn't impressive, a gimped spec with little personal utility doing well was always way more impressive.

I never really had a problem with them. I was killing level 80 rogues when my hunter was 60. BAD Rogues. Also killed an 80 Ret, again BAD.

Hunters have all the tools to beat Rogues but 99% of the time they don't know how to use them. All the same, a combat rogue should have basicly never beat a hunter especially with the pet ruining Killing Spree most of the time.

That being said, losing to a sub rogue as a hunter was fairly acceptable due to the high mobility. Now, or should I say once again, all you have to do is spec BM and spam heals on yourself while enjoying a free trinket on a rather short CD.
