idk, I'm not generally fond of the trend towards vaguely realistic shooters. They feel handicapped, for lack of a better word.

The speeds in Quake and Tribes were so much better.

That's one of the things that turns me off about those games is the speed and unrealism in movement. Kinda like my hate for Halo because of the ultrasuperjumping.

Since it is impossible for a virtual world to be as realistic as real life, the logical strategy is to not attempt to emulate or compete with it.

Anyway. I hated Tribes, I hated the hopping. The fun was in rocket jumping, not this bunny hopping crap. If Tribes didn't have that stuff, it would've been horribly slow and boring. At least it took a while before bunny hopping took over quake.

but yeah, game of the year, mass effect 3 and all other games will hopefully fall in comparison to this, w/ hopefully the reign of COD brahs falling to an end and people joining the superior community of Battlefield.

why is anyone shitting a brick over this? not commenting on the rest of the game since it isn't shown, but if that's "exciting vehicular combat" then i lost interest the first time i watched his cannon reload for 5 seconds.

Battletanx was awesome, and hard as shit.

Though possibly entirely due to me being like 12.

I don't give a shit about anything but infantry combat in video games.

I'll make an exception for power armor in shit like Planetside or warhammer games.

I was tank master Cziiki when it came to BC2 multiplayer...I love vehicle combat in games as long as it's moderately balanced like BC2 and 1943 was, nothing like anti tank mines and sniping people with tracer pistol rounds!

Edit: greatest part of BC2 was being able to equip a sniper rifle and tracer rounds, use the scope to line up a shot, switch to your pistol and make people GIANT FLASHING BEACONS for rocket lockons.
