Considering Mayo and I have disagreed about pretty much every decision ever made (on boards you could read when you were a mod), I don't think that's entirely appropriate. But yes, it makes me feel big.

So let me ask you this. You gave me a serious response in your first sentence, so I do appreciate that.

Can you honestly tell me with a straight face that I am being unreasonable in requesting a split for a thread with two discussions, each warranting their own thread because they are both discussions that different posters have an interest in?


I think the PvP and PvE subject merits discussion. I don't think it's a bad idea for a thread at all. People could contribute their thoughts, and it would prove entertaining.

I didn't want a flame war and I definitely didn't want this to escalate to the point that it has. I wanted the GW2 thread to stay on topic within reason. I realize people go off topic, it's human nature to disagree with someone on something and cite your points of view. The person you disagreed with will cite their counter-arguments. Pretty soon, you have a PvE vs PvP thread in a Guild Wars 2 thread. Since there are posters who might enjoy that discussion, why not initiate a thread split for it's intended purpose so that both crowds can enjoy both discussions?

I once again suggest we both agree to not escalate this largely unnecessary shitstorm. If you really feel that my request was unreasonable, I will refrain from any future requests.

I do not think for one second 'I am OP, I make all the rules' applies in any scenario, with a few exceptions such as stickies posted by admins outlining rules, Ninja Blacklist, Gamertag Bonanza, etc.

The only reason anyone's okay with it this time is because the splitting was done by someone other than Mns or myself, and because Mns wasn't okay with it. I'm sure it was helped along by the blatant GW fanboyism.

I don't recall me ever throwing a bitchfit over forum moderators moderating. I've always felt like I'm on the other side of that spectrum.

My advice would be to withhold criticizing and ridiculing me when I request a thread be split and focus the attention elsewhere, among people that do think splitting a thread is equivalent to child rape.

It's not fair to me to get thrown in the middle when I've never been part of that crowd.
