Fuck Cliff Racers.

If you were good, you could snipe them, either with arrows, thrown, or magic. Even if you weren't, they had like three hit points and you could kill them bare-handed. You only ever got sixty-three cliff racers on you like that if you ran through the valleys they circled and didn't stop to kill them.

I never had trouble killing them...it was just the sheer number in the game that was simply outrageous and annoying.

Man I love Illusion. A group of friends and I have been playing skyrim and have been trying to focus on different skills so that we're not all cut from the same cloth. Nobody gave a thought to Illusions so I thought I'd try it out.

Let me tell you.

1) Calm + sneak attacks = OP

2) Since I have next to no armor rating and die really fast to mages (vampires are weak to fire), frenzy with quiet casting is phenomenal for clearing rooms.

Imperial Legion vs. Stormcloaks?

Before I get into why I want to join the legion, I was wondering if anything changes once you pick a side? Like, would I be unwelcome in the cities that are loyal to the stormcloaks?

Okay, so. Imperial Legion.

Why would anyone want to join the stormcloaks? They are a bunch of racist, religious fucks who would have preferred to have been steamrolled by the Aldmeri Dominion rather than have the Emperor sign a treaty to end a soon-to-be-lost war? Are you kidding? Could Skyrim alone have held off an onslaught that took the entire empire to stop? Quit kidding yourselves. Also, why should Skyrim belong only to the Nords? Are the rest of us not part of the land? Did we not defend the empire as a whole when the war began? How dare you call the Dunmer "gray-skins"?! Oh sure, you're all peachy when the world is fine and you're getting what you want from the empire, but when the time comes to sacrifice (not just for the rest of the empire, but for skyrim's well-being/survival) you decide to start another war?

Man I hate the stormcloaks. I've cleared out every stormcloak camp and murdered every sormcloak courier I've ran into. It's only a matter of time before I rid Skyrim of this scourge.

Joining the Stormcloaks only makes sense if you're a nord

the Empire is pretty racist too, lol. If you're not an Imperial/Breton, you're a second class citizen. Third class if you're a beast-race.

I demand evidence of this! I've only seen the people of Winterhold express anything regarding race.

Seriously? Stormcloaks are constantly bitching about elves.

That's what I meant, the people of Winterhold (loyal to Ulfric Stormcloak, and thus Stormcloaks themselves) are the only ones I've seen expressing any form of racism.

It probably has something to do with the High Elves making worship of the main Nordic god illegal and the Empire giving the elves full liscence to send their elf gestapo into Skyrim and round up people who are still worshipping him in camps and eventually execute them.

I went Stormcloak on my Redguard because in the lore, the Empire pretty much leaves the Redguards all on their own against the elves. After beating the elves, the Redguard give the Empire the middle finger and secede. Plus that bear armor is pretty rad.

The Empire was in no position to negotiate anything. Even though they won the battle for the Imperial City (Battle for the Red Ring) they lost nearly everything trying to do so. The Aldmeri Dominion also took heavy losses, but they were in a much better position than the Empire.

It was either give up some of Hammerfell, outlaw Talos worship, remain an Empire, and try to rebuild in order to fight another day OR get steamrolled by the Thalmor, lose Hammerfell as well as the rest of the Empire, still outlaw Talos worship, and live under the rule of Elves. Simple logic. Also, in no way does the Empire like the Thalmor. "Shame" is not enough of a reason to pass on signing the White-Gold Concordat and Titus Mede II had the common sense to know that.
