when i'm tanking, i hate tards that see me pull a group, and before i get a single swing off, start nuking one of the mobs (not even the one i'm targeting). especially if they're a class with a redirect, but they don't bother using it.

i hate when someone pulls a mob off of me (usually by doing the above), i taunt it back, and yet they continue nuking that mob knowing full well i do not have solid aggro on it. at that point i usually just let them die.


however, on my rogue, i love tricksing a tank and charging ahead spamming fok to pull 2 or 3 groups back. i especially love doing this 1) in CoS on the gauntlet, pulling the entire section at once or 2) when i'm grouped with mythrandir and penthesilea because i'm always trying to get pen killed.

i think its been said already but, last night i had people leaving cause i was "ruining" the exp of the heroic

I healed a pally tank on my druid tha literally pulled one boss to another in H Nexus. It was the most fun I have had in a random ever. I was laughing the whole time at this fool pulling shit all over the place. The only casualty was a newb dk that jumped to his death after the second boss and missed the third boss fight because we outran him. If someone can pull that much, I do on my pally now, GO FOR IT. This expansion has been out for a year and a half, if you have not seen the content by now, your not going to through randoms because people are there for badges and shards now and thats about it.

I'm one of the bad dps people in here are complaining about. However, there are very few mobs that can kill a dps in mail or plate, so other than pissing off the tank or making things a bit more exciting for the healer, there isn't much of a downside to balls-out nuking and doing a bit of off-tanking as a consequence.

that's how i used to feel on my warrior until i started protadining and only had to drop consecrate to hold every mob on me

@Aetsu you should realize by now that theory doesn't trump numbers.

From our last H Sindra, 17 Holy shield damages with 10 buffs gained, 1309 damage per proc. 2225 damage per holy shield buff activated.

Avenger Shield averaged 2822, Holy Wrath 2433.

And what to note of this is that I actually prioritize the normal 969 on perma ground as to lessen damage, because Holy shield is really just a mini damage reduction spell that just happens to generate threat.

It's ok bro, if you want to kill yourself or remove your sub or just stop posting on any forums I am positive the community would be better for it.

I did an ICC with Paddywack. He did it all night long. Every time I saw him cast Exorcism on a boss in melee range (including Saurfang) I wanted to punch a baby. He didn't Holy Shield ever, either. He's not alone. A lot of tanks do this.



Sindragosa is single-target. She's also a hybrid caster that doesn't melee continuously. She's not going to eat all your Holy Shield charges - as I said, prioritizing Holy Shield against your typical 969 rotation is only applicable in fivemans when it will be fully expended before it wears off by so many mobs hitting you, or if you're tanking Algalon or something. When she flies up you can whack her with Avenger's Shield, Holy Wrath, and Hand of Reckoning while running away.

What is your point?

Yup, I'm going to go punch a baby now. That's awful, just fucking awful.

I think my favorite bad tank story is a random Halls of Stone we got once (myself, Anauroch, Zombified, and Beatymcbeat) with the tank being a randomed fifth and being a prot paladin. First off, to be a misogynist, I'm convinced the tank was a girl because she took forever to type anything and used proper capitalization, and was just oozing womanly disapproval. Anyway, she was the slowest puller in the universe. Like, sat before every pack, sitting idle (which led me to believe she was trying to type before every pull) until one of us got bored and aggroed everything into her.

So we managed to make it to the rock dood, whatever his name is (the first boss) and she idles for like a solid minute, presumably typing. The four of us are either on TS or in the same room, I can't remember, and we're so bored that Anauroch just scorches the boss but goes invisible and he resets. She types out her long tirade to the effect of "ARE YOU JERKS GOING TO LET ME GET READY BEFORE WE PULL?" Anauroch says no, pulls again (without invisibility this time), and she drops group right as he's beelining.

It was awesome, we 4-manned without a tank.

If destruction exists, we must destroy everything.
