What other people don't seem to understand, because they're bad I guess. Is that the other major function of gearscore is you can use it to quickly view wether the target is hit capped, defense capped, gemming bad stats(like resil or spirit on a paladin). You can also see their raid experience in heroic and normal raids.







I literally raid with none of those and have never had any problems. The only on that I would say is needed is the boss mod with timers.
I've tanked, dps'd, and healed. Omen is poop other than seeing how much of a threat gap you have with other players. But even then, when someone is getting high in threat, their nameplate turns yellow and red when they have threat.

The default raid frames already have a debuff and target of target function and you can mouse over them. I don't know why you would want scrolling combat text, enlighten me please. Same for the nameplates.

Gearscore is still a poop addon, mainly if you use just the number, baddie. The number is useless.

I think Aestu makes some good points, and his UI pic shows a very clean screen. I think I'd prefer a little extra clutter, because I'd have to have some abilities out to click that I don't use often and therefore wouldn't have them bound in any way, since I'd forget what they were bound to since I use them so rarely.

Why wouldn't you want sct? I like to know when things fade or I get hit with things. I also like seeing my screen flowing with +heal numbers. Nameplates = ezmode targetting since tab target somehow got fucked hard from BC to Wotlk. I can never tab something right in front of me anymore.

You can see all of that with the default combat text. Nameplates I can understand but clickers are bad. Baddie. Tab works fine for me. Maybe you have too many addons.

MSBT/SCT are just just plain better than the built-in implementation, there's absolutely no reason not to use either over the default.

Tab hasn't worked properly in about 3 years.

You can make it target players only. It sort of fixed the old problem of tab targeting hunter/warlock pets 100% of the time.

I'll give them they have a bit more options when it comes to font, but other than that, who cares. If you're just watching your combat text, you're doing terrible anyways. Not to mention all the stuff that's happening around you. I mostly use it to watch my healing, damage, and damage taken. But normally I don't even bother looking at it, I'd much rather pay attention to the fight.

It's not wonder people need so many addons. You guys need addons to tell you when to move, when to hit what buttons, when your cooldowns are up, when your cooldowns are down, to tell if a player is bad or not, to do your auctions and open your mail for you, who to heal, decurse/cleanse for you, do buffs for you, and ones to tell you when you look at which addon. I'm honestly surprised yall don't have addons to tell you when you can afk or addons to wipe your ass for you, or is there already and I just don't know?

Some people's UI, you simply couldn't possibly look at everything on the screen and take in all the info and pay attention to the game world at the same time.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that 90% of you couldn't function in the game world without your addons. It's sad really. You're all weak and I hope someday blizzard crushes addons and you guys cry and cry and quit. And oh yes, you will cry and you will quit.

p.s. This isn't all really directed at you Confusion, just towards everyone who has a hard on for add ons.




I play a rogue, druid, paladin, and a warrior. Tab works fine, other than sometimes when you literally tab target through like 9 totems. Once again, maybe you have too many addons ;]
