A while ago when i was playing soccer, i was goalie and i had just come off from being sick for a week. Im standing in the net under the sun, and my vision goes all pixelatedely and swirlyly. I fell over and fainted in net when some guy was running and taking a shot.

A yellow card after the game wouldn't do anything though. If you have to miss the next game due to a red card, that's a pretty good incentive to avoid looking like you took a dive.

Sure it would, if you get 2 yellows (not in the same game) you stay in the current game but are suspended for the next game

That assumes they get another yellow though. Anyways, since adding video review would involve changing the rules, there is no reason why diving would necessarily stay a yellow card. The suggestion I saw was to give out red cards for dives.

I could definitely see video review as an option. In UEFA, you can appeal red cards and have them overturned. I think making diving a red card would result in more bad red cards for diving than good. There is a definite gray area between diving and embellishing which could lead to some issues with giving a red for diving when the player was simply exaggerating. There is almost no gray area in serious foul play or violent conduct...if a ref sees sfp or vc and thinks "oh shit", something obviously has to be done.

It wasnt serious or anything, talking not quite little league but not exactly competetive. was odd to see the grass turn red.

when i was a freshman we were forced to play badminton in the gym in PE class one day, so i tried my best to make it all intense. would scream 'GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL' whenever basically anything happened, but i hadnt factored that yelling that intensely while doing aerobic activity will make you lose consciousness. at one point vision started to tunnel and ears went kind of deaf. just stood there in the 'finish him' pose for half a minute then went back to hardcore badminton action.

Fast as easy, young child able do.

Dempsy getting punched in the mouth was a classic. Coming off the ground with a face full of blood and grass, but no call. If they would have lost that game or tied you would have seen that played over and over as another goal that did not happen.

I'm no expert, but the US side sure looks to lack some fundamentals, both technically and strategically. That didn't stop me from rooting for them today, or feeling a bit "rage-esque" when another clear goal was called off, but still... I see a whoopin' comin'... comin' soon.

Yar, the technicals of the US team (especially passes) don't seem to be as polished as some of the other teams (Germany/Brazil/Portugal come to mind), but they're still a damn fine team to watch.

I really hope Ghana doesn't get slaughtered in this game :/

It was only a matter of time until they scored...they were getting enough chances. I really don't want to have to play Germany in the next round though, i fear they might crush us.
