For demonoid.me, the 'upload' counter... is that how much you've seeded? I remember the value being pretty large at demonoid.com, but since they switched to demonoid.me, I'm reading zero... even though I got this from the last week.

My ratio problem might be because I'm using uTorrent and not bitTorrent. /shrug

I'd be surprised if that issue was being caused by the client, I use uTorrent as well and haven't had any issues like that.

am scared to download/pirate because I got some email from comcast like 3 years ago saying they were aware of suspicious activity and quoted what I was downloading (entourage).

I have not downloaded/pirated a single thing since.

first week in a dorm i got my internet shut off because i was pirating

had to have 3 meetings with the head of the rez to have it re-enabled, then i just started using proxies and never got caught, hahahah

About halfway through my sophmore year of college I got my internet shut off because they thought I pirated Fergilicious 6 months before. I just walked into the appeals room and asked them if I looked like someone who would be pirating Fergie (this was back when my neckbeard and ponytail were in full swing). After talking about how it could've happened, I got told that "You know enough about pirating that if you were really pirating, you could get away with it. Get out of here.".

Do US ISPs throttle P2P uploads? It's capped at something ridiculous like 10 kb/s here, so it's impossible to get a decent ratio.
