I think there's a difference too, being all about efficiency I'd ideally want my work/school/random commutes to be by foot or bicycle and get majority of my exercise that way instead of car or public transportation but that's not realistic for me right now so they both have their place.
I used to bike from home to high school and from there to CSU Sacramento and back. Five mile ride each way. Happiest time of my life.

Exercise has enough benefits to merit doing it on its own though. I do it as a hobby so I'm not an expert but there's the obvious physical and cardiovascular benefits, then you can go and look up a ton of research on the benefits from those suffering from depression and anxiety, disease prevention, stress relief, creative thinking, cognition, etc... If you're exercising outdoors the benefit of the sun, vitamin D.
I know this. It's that the exertion itself seems pointless.

Maybe it's boring because you just do stuff you don't like
Partly, but I don't mind otherwise menial or obnoxious tasks (organizing objects, sorting files, pushing boxes around, cleaning things, even physically strenuous tasks such as pushing furniture around San Francisco) so long as they seem to have a clear point.

You should try it out. The endorphins might even make you feel good.
yeah you think all that lifting has no point until all the sudden your shirts don't fit and bitches be 'mirin.
I do not consider happiness or female approval an important goal.
My only goal is to increase my power.
