I think the illegality is supposed to act as a deterrent, as silly as that sounds.

It can't be meant to prevent assisted suicide, since that fits under the "murder" umbrella (thank you retarded penal codes).

If she wanted sympathy or to talk about what happened, she wouldn't ask if the thread was "a sick joke", she'd talk about her friend, and if she "couldn't read the thread", she wouldn't, rather than post in it (and continue to, or by proxy).

Using a friend's death to self-righteously impose and seek attention? I think that's being...morally incorrect. But of course that's just my own interpretation.

If I'm wrong, please share with us acceptable mourning practices of suicide victims ranked in order of which confers the most dignity to the one lost. Please cite references and empirical evidence which you used to identify a commonly agreed upon test for acceptability, the definition of dignity used and the amount of dignity conferred by each practice.
