Honestly, though, I think a lot of Americans with the "press 2 for burrito" have-it-now attitude don't realize you can't hit a magic button and know where someone is, especially if they really don't want to be found. There are still a lot of places in the world a person can hide, and America isn't very popular in a lot of them. There has also been...a lack of will, for want of a better term, among our nation's leaders in dealing with a lot of issues. A lot of the things we can do, we don't do, not because it's so wrong that we never did it in the past, but because despite having done it in the past, we can't do it now because there are fucking cameras everywhere. Political fallout scares world leaders more than military failures.
