"Country" music existed without blues, it is possible that rock could have come from country without the blues.
Nope.
While there were elements of country that existed before the blues, Country as we know of it today, and early popular country ("hillbilly" "bluegrass" etc.) was all heavily influenced by the blues. Without the blues, there would be no country as we know of it today.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Country_musicRead through that article and you can see all of the early, popular country musicians fused jazz and blues into their sound.

So because I don't like rap due to its "raping murdering running drugs and beating women" bullshit, you think I hate it because black people came up with it? I hate a bunch of different kinds of music, especially today's music, and black people have nothing to do with it.
I don't like obama either, is it because he's black? Answer: Go fuck yourself. I'm not racist.
Successful troll is successful.

I know you aren't racist. However, you are simplifying rap as an entire genre because you dislike it. Not every rap song is about raping, murdering, running drugs, and beating women. Do some songs touch on those subjects? Sure. But a lot of hip-hop (especially hip hop by politically conscious artists - such as Immortal Technique) touches on subjects like gentrification, poverty, economic inequality, and the like.
I will agree that 99.5% of "popular" rap music is absolute garbage. It's a shame that a large sect of people decide to write off a genre because of stereotypes on what the music is. You do understand that it is a problem with the entire music industry. It is extremely difficult for a rapper who is discussing something other than being in the club with bitches to get any sort of radio play. Sex, fame, drugs, violence...these are the things that sell in this country. As a result, the most popular songs often deal with these subjects. That doesn't mean that less-popular rappers don't discuss different things.
You like metal, correct? A lot of people dismiss metal because of death metal bands like Cannibal Corpse, etc. and they actually DO discuss raping, murdering, sodomy, satanic ideas, etc. Should I dismiss the entire genre of metal simply because some artists in that genre scream about raping babies and shit? Clearly not. Clearly there are many bands under that umbrella that write about different subjects, and do different things musically other than grinding on guitars and screaming unintelligibly into the microphone. It's unfair to judge all artists because of what some choose to do....just like it's unfair for you to categorize all rap in one way. You may not enjoy the music (I don't particularly enjoy metal), which is fine...but have legitimate reasons please.
Interesting when the shoe is on the other foot, no?
