To address this point...the DK shitfest really started to drain on me...but it happened right after I was at my highest point of addiction/awesomeness (TBC). Once Cata dropped, I had already been so burnt out/drained by WotlK that although Cata > WotlK I was past my "giving a shit" threshold

I stopped playing when I got to 85 for the same reason I stopped playing at the end of TBC, and the same reason I switched factions and tried to pvp more during TBC. I don't give a shit about the lore, and it's not that I felt the gameplay was worse. I just was tired of it being the same game (same reason I'm not interest in Rift, it's too similar).

I love Halo, but I couldn't play it constantly for years and years without it getting old.

I actually enjoy questing, but I strongly dislike doing a quest more than once. I am mostly bored at this point. Between rehearsals and my kids I have no time to play anymore, and it seems our IRL friends don't either. I'm hoping the urge to play comes back, but for now I think Iggy and I are going to cancel as well.

Hell yeah... Arthas killed your raid in a scripted event. C'thun killed your raid just because you derped. Both are badass if you're into the RP aspect of the fight, but only one makes the fight more difficult.
