We have some people just joining us as friends from other games new to the MMORPG scene. Most of them are CS:S players or (hate to say it but I myself was one)Hardcore Halo players who just don't really care. My core group of friends pretty much consist of Zigmo and Gnomepriest as far as the game goes and how long I have known them.

As far as <Reckless> as a whole, we have some pretty good players from friends of friends.
We do have those friends who just dont give a fuck at the same time and really have no earthly idea on social interaction over the internet. :P

EI/Not Quite Right stopped giving a fuck and now they run 8/12 HM ICC GDKPs (as opposed to giving a fuck, and getting to the Frostmourne room, then ceasing to give a fuck).

So you're saying because you don't give a fuck you spam trade for pugs to help you wipe on LK10? I guess for some of us not giving a fuck means being a masochist. At least that seems to be your claim.

I'm looking at the part you mentioned more closely.

The warrior gets initial proximity aggro (Twin Emps have sticky threat), then the camera angle shifts sharply two seconds later. But from the lower angle you can still see Immolate go up on the Twin and it changes target; you can see shadowbolts fly past the warrior.

Going back to 5:38, you can a Blizzard on the ground near the steps, and a caster, probably the warlock, moving out of it and away from it, out of range of the Twin. Between 5:38 and 5:43, the warlock gets back in range of the emp, gets dots up, and gets aggro.

So, yeah, you don't understand what's depicted in that video.

It's not that you didn't give a "textbook answer" (as if the strategy for that encounter is variable), it's that you didn't know what you would know if you did it as progression. (Granted, I didn't either).

Meh...

Aestu wrote:
The bshout spam method you describe was used for aoe tanking. On single target it was totally impractical, especially since global aggro is divided across all targets in combat. Since there are only two twins and healing is substantial, bshout spam would not hold aggro. Getting proximity aggro would be suicidal since the aoe did a long-range knockback and hit extremely hard at 60. In that very video a warlock can be seen on the far side of the Twin, and the Twin turning to face him (you can clearly see his CoA go off each transition).

Took me a while to search old threads but... here ya go, just to shut you up.
Odd... a bunch of level 60's talking about the fight!

You recount the history of a certain guild (which isn't relevant) but you don't recount your own history (which is). Did you follow Last Stand through their iterations? If not, exactly what was your history? How long were you with Hellborn - four years, as you claimed?

My history... pretty much was terrible till middle of MC during vanilla, got picked up just after <Last Stand> formed and progressed through all of BWL with them topping out at third on server. During Naxx I jumped up to <R I P co> which back then was top on server and cleared through 4HM not killing Sapph... go figure, not many guilds could anyways. When TBC hit I took a break and returned to <Last Stand> which I didn't hang around long because we lost a lot of our core to alliance or server transfers to Turalyon. I could not follow seeing as I was a college kid and out of a job to pay for things like that. About 5 months later joined up on Shattered Hand with some friends, landed a spot in <Hellborn> feeder guild and got in main stream. Clearing through all of SWP. WoTLK started up and we lost a lot of core with the new expansion and the remake of Naxx causing a rebuild for the guild. The game got boring... I stuck around for about as long as I could and ended up taking a job, right as we kill Yogg middle of May in '09, in Law Enforcement. The job killed my play time and basically caused me to lose all interest in the game. I came back to the game when Zigmo and Gnomepriiest talked about making a casual raid guild that would work around my days off. Just to see the content and still have time to do what we wanted. I agreed and came back server and faction transferring to BH which ruined a lot of my cheeves, either reseting them... or erasing them all together.

Do I need to apologize for apologizing? lol. Kind of funny how you go from selling yourself as "top 50 US" material to calling someone whose pugs you beg to join "trash", even though said pugs consistently outprogress and outperform your own guild, when by all accounts said guild's performance, being unable to down LK10, is commensurate with your own skill level.

I didn't call the pugs "trash". (Reading comprehension FTW) How ever... I do think you, yourself are not as good as you lead others to believe. (I guess before I was in a rage smashing the keyboard, so let me correct it. You are in fact better than a lot of people I have played with... pretty smart too. I just think you are relying on some intimidating persona you have to scare people into thinking you are a great player when that is far from the truth.)
The pugs are fun though... I have a blast meeting new folks that share the same interest as myself... having fun.

Aestu wrote:
What I'm getting at here, Chusk, and my reason for engaging you initially, was simply curiosity about the truth of things.

There is a fine line of proving things... and making things up over the internet, Aestu.

Edit in red. Put second rather than third... *in before detectives!*

I'm confused (reading comprehension FTL). We kill LK every week and are 11/12HM... we quit raiding though due to lack of interest just this last week pretty much.

My question is, have you always gone by Chusk? or what other names did you go by.

Ok, so, your vanilla history is so far in the past it's totally unverifiable.

Your TBC history - you claim, you were "a college kid and out of a job", so you couldn't raid. $15 a month isn't a lot by any stretch, you can easily afford that living off Social Security.

TBC was a lot longer than five months. You don't have Hand of A'dal nor any of the reps/achievements that would corroborate with doing SWP during late TBC (unless you mean just post 3.0).

So what exactly happened between you doing SWP with Hellborn and quitting at the start of TBC? When did you do SWP, and why didn't you do MH/BT or anything else in between? Why didn't you know the Muru encounter when I asked?

If you raided with this top guild "through Ulduar", why don't you have any T7 raid achievements?

Shows you have six LK10 normal kills; you are 11/12 in the sense that you've managed to kill Sindragosa and Putricide on 10H...once, and most other 10H bosses fewer than five times.

I've never claimed to be. I just...lead pugs.

I don't see myself as an exceptional player. Better than average, better than most, yes, but not exceptional.

As I put it, there's being better than 95% of players, then there's being better than the 95% of the players that actually matter.

I possess energy, intelligence, creativity, and honesty in far greater abundance than actual skill at this game.

Aestu, this "proving" thing with you... know matter how much I slap it in you'r face will never fall through with you.

I don't have Hand Of A'dal because I wasn't playing during TK/SSC... GO FIGURE. Came back sometime in BT days and got pretty lucky on drops. I think most of the time we were high jacking raid I.D's back the just for the shot at glaives.(Wasn't an uncommon practice back then.)

College kid living at home with the rents... going out most every night... go figure not having a lot of money to spend on World of Warcraft. Sorry we didn't share the same intrests at that point in our lives.

As for knowing the fight, you'r idea of knowing the fight seems to be alot different from my idea of knowing the fight. Since you didn't ask me about the fight... you asked me what I tank and the name... to which I responded "adds and I forgot the name...". Go figure.

What achievements do you want me to have through Ulduar? We slammed through the content... go figure. I dont think any guilds really did achievements while progressing to yogg.

Bamboozld
Odd... I also have all these heroic achievements that we have only managed to do once on my alt. HMMMMMM.... something just doesn;t seem right here, Aestu. Hax maybe?

Edit: getting peoples 10m mounts when they missed achievements when first done is hard on heroic slamming.
