1. You agree that arguing on forums is a preferable substitute to terrible contemporary video gaming. 2. You agree that corps will make better games when market forces compel them to do so. 3. Therefore, you must agree that in order for us to save video gaming, you must spend more time arguing with me than you do playing video games.
It's a good thing the movers and the shakers in the video game industry get their news from teh fubu forums.
Not the point. If we argue on the forums to the exclusion of playing their games, market forces will compel them to make the games better. That holds true whether they read the arguments or not.

It's kind of funny. I have been spending a lot of time at the park with my daughter lately. She loves the hot weather for some reason. Anyone here into frisbee? I forgot how much fun these can be. Decent way to get a little activity for a low price.
Kind of on topic though. I hate how every game has to be made for EVERYONE. What happened to video games made for a certain demographic? Did everyone love megaman? hell no! Was Little Mac the boxing inspiration for everyone? Nope! But I am sure there was a game out there that those people did like, that I didn't so much care for. Watered down games for the sake of trying to appeal to everyone. BOOOOOO!

You could argue that is why they split the game into Classic and X series.
But, uh, that said, I completely agree with you. I'm just bored and arguing for no reason. This, of course very unusual behavior from me. I think it's caused by severe dehydration.
Here's an interesting hypothetical question for you, Krunkz. (and everyone else): Would you pay $50 a month for the ultimate MMO?
Features include: -IRL connections such as physical gift boxes mailed to you when you accomplish things in the game -Regular current event-based in-game gag items (e.g., submit your voter registration ticket to receive a mini-Romney or mini-Obama pet) -Instant real-time customer service -Vigilant game/community management -Amazing graphics -Extremely elaborate design -Frequent and prolific content updates -Sandboxing -No bugs -No microtransactions
Honestly, it's interesting to think about. Will there one day be "boutique" or "premium" games?

I would say no. This is me right now talking though. 10 years ago I could see myself paying 50 a month IF the game was all you described and nothing less. Of course it would be the only game I would be playing and I would be playing it quite a bit. I like this question and will add more to this response once i get off work around noon or so.

Weird. So if the consumers aren't happy with a company or product and if the consumers decide to not buy a company or their product, then you're saying the consumers action (or inaction) will somehow influence the market for the better? So unlike you. I figured you would've argued for more regulation, government oversight or something else other than "markets being markets"...
PS: 20 nerds on the FUBU forums are going to change markets. 20 people casting multiple votes in an election isn't going to change an election. Wat? Dumb, that's wat.

Luxury product with many alternatives (including being bored) =/= necessity for life and life progression with no alternatives
