yeah it really seemed like that killed the spirit but regardless, the English pride themselves on having elite soccer teams and some of the worlds best players, you think they'd atleast show up for a world cup match and try to get win again rather than fold up and cry about a bad call.
For sure. I think England suffers what Team USA Basketball suffered from a few olympics ago.
They have a bunch of individual stars who act like whiny bitches and think they are the best thing ever. They lose and underperform because it's a team game, and they don't play as a team. Just watching how fluid the Germans moved the ball (beautiful passes, a cohesive unit) as compared to the English Premier League "superstars" emphasizes this fact.
They need to re-think how they build/manage their team.
