maybe not for other games that might come out, but having to fucking close your game just to join another server because they wouldn't put a a server browser in the PC version is retarded. not to mention they have some hacked servers or something that have upped the player count for BF3, except they show up in the regular list anyways and they're threatening to ban people/close your origin account with anything on it if you play on them. pretty awesome.


it's worse then Steam which automatically means it's terrible and not needed, and no game worth a shit (other then BF3) will ever come out on it because lolEA. it's the next games for windows live, trash nobody wants to deal with.

As it stands right now, if you disregard BF3 completely, all it does is download games. You don't need it open to play anything. It is mostly pointless but not "hur dur spyware evil corporate hack wagglan gimmicks."

I'm not going to defend battlelog and their shitty browser server setup (could have integrated it into Origin the way it is, but LOLNOPE WHY DO THAT), but it isn't like the game doesn't launch up immediately anyway. If anything I'm glad I can tab in and out with zero problems. What is more annoying is you have to be alive and deployed to do anything in the menus, only to get sniped and wait another 10 seconds.

Maybe megacorps like EA and Activision should spend less time on worrying about if their games get pirated and more time on whether or not their games are actually worth buying.
