Um, I'm with you on this. I don't like it when people get too involved with each other in public. I think it's tasteless and inconsiderate to all those around them. If you're holding hands, snuggling in a theater or on a park bench, or quickly sharing a kiss in public then I find nothing wrong with it. When people start straight-up making out, getting handsy with or mounting each other... or if clothes start coming off or if there is some euphoric moaning then I take issue with it. (When I was in Oceanside the other week my wife and I were walking down the street and we passed a young couple on a road-side bench - he was sitting on the bench, she was straddling her lap and he had his hands up the back of her shirt and had his mouth all over her neck.)

Keep that shit in the bedroom.

People like that are only really in love with themselves.

This was going to be my first point too.

I don't really care about PDA, unless there's a noise or personal-space-relative-to-surroundings problem. If people want to dryhump on a parkbench that's only got room for two and everyone around is just a passerby, that's just fine.

There's definitely a point where you need to take it back home, but I was kissing someone while playing pool last night, so...it would be complete hypocrisy of me to complain about anyone doing more than a discreet peck on the cheek. In my defense, the bar was pretty empty and both of us are pretty hot, so it wouldn't be right to expect us to keep our hands off each other.

I don't really care unless it's extremely obnoxious (I can hear it, or it's distracting). In my experience most people like this are in relationships that don't last.

This thread reminded me of something. Last winter I was taking the bus to school, there was this couple that starting kissing and lightly making out. The girl opened her eyes. Seriously, who the hell does that? I've done the whole "eyes glaring open" troll every now and then but it wasn't that. Anyways, the horrible part was our eyes crossed. We maintained eye contact for about an eternity. It was one of those situations when you look at someone, they look at you, and you just keep looking at each other without any reaction and it gets awkward/tense. I didn't know what to do, I couldn't break eye contact. thoughts were racing through my head. Do I wave? Say hi? Whip my dick out?

And that's the story of the first time I jumped out of a bus window.


tldr; If you're gonna make out in public, at least don't stare at strangers while doing it.

...I think I have found my new hobby.

There's a couple at the pool hall tonight that is walking each other to the bathroom then making out for a minute outside. Like really? She's coming back dude.

As long as one of them is an at least moderately attractive woman i'm neutral to it.

I do think though that it should be law that if you're going to do that in public then people should be allowed to join in, almost like a conversation.

I don't know about you, but I get really wierded out when some dude just walks into the middle of my conversation. I was at a bar with a couple friends a while back and they have this big bonfire outside. I was talking to my friends (we were sitting around the bonfire) and this dude just sits down right next to me and pulls me away from the conversation. For the next 20 minutes he told me about how Ron Paul is the best candidate, how we should all have Tesla coils and power should be free, and how his Jewish upbringing failed him.

As soon as I came back from getting a beer, he was gone and another dude was there who, without any sort of provocation besides "Hey", decided to talk, in detail, about how his girlfriend used to physically abuse him.
